How Much Does A Range Rover Oil Change Cost? – CoPilot

How Much Does A Range Rover Oil Change Cost? Source: Pixabay Range Rover might not be the first vehicle manufacturer you think of when you think of a luxury brand, but they’re one of the best luxury SUV brands out there. Popular, powerful, and durable are just part of the reputation behind Range Rover.  But, like most vehicles that focus on the luxury market, Range Rover maintenance costs are a good bit higher than average, including Range Rover oil change costs. Basically, all maintenance is going to be a little more expensive if you own a Range Rover, so you need to know what kind of costs to expect if you decide you want to own a Range Rover.  Since oil changes are some of the most common and most important maintenance work you need, knowing the cost of this basic service is one of the best ways to make sure you’re prepared for Range Rover ownership costs.  Here’s what you need to know.  How Much Do Range Rover Oil Changes Cost?  Like all vehicle brands, there is a range of different costs when it comes to different Range Rover models and years. Some are going to be more expensive than others. However, Range Rovers tend to be larger vehicles, which also means that they tend to cost a little more for things like oil changes.  You should expect a Range Rover oil change to cost $300-$400 depending on where you get it done and which model you have.  At most dealerships, you’ll be looking at a price closer to $300-$350 for most models, but there are a few outliers that can be more expensive.  You should also budget slightly more if your Range Rover has a lot of miles on it and plan on more frequent oil changes to help keep your engine running at top efficiency.  That’s a little more expensive than most consumer vehicles, but there is some good news. Like other luxury brands, and despite the size of Range Rovers, they don’t need oil changes as often as other vehicles.  Going to an independent mechanic might be a cheaper option, but there are a few reasons it might be worth paying the full price at a Range Rover dealership or with a Range Rover certified mechanic.  FEEL SECURE IN THE CAR YOU CHOOSE You don’t want to buy a car – you want to get the best deal on the car you’re looking for. The CoPilot app will notify you if there’s a similar vehicle in your area at a better price, so you’re always certain you got the best deal available.  Why Is It Worth It To Go To A Range Rover Mechanic? One of the big advantages of going to a Range Rover mechanic is that you know that you’ll be getting OEM parts. That means an OEM filter designed to fit your specific model of Range Rover, giving you a better seal and better durability.  Range Rover mechanics also use fully synthetic oil that’s longer-lasting and…

Why is a land rover oil change so expensive? (Top 10 Reasons) -Why is a land rover oil change so expensive? Range Rover oil changes are expensive because the manufacturer has to keep up with the latest technologies to stay profitable. Luxury vehicles need pricey parts and a high-line car will cost you more than one from a cheaper brand. You may be surprised by some of the things that contribute to an expensive oil change. We’ve listed 10 of them for you below.1. The Range Rover does not have regular maintenance intervals as many other vehicles do, but it does need to meet the standards of the manufacturer for function, emissions, and fuel efficiency.2. You can expect to pay around $370 for an oil change and tire rotation when you decide to take your vehicle in for service at a dealership in most regions. The cost of the dealer service is somewhere between $200 and $300 more expensive than an oil change from a local shop.3. An independent shop will give you a more accurate reading on the condition of the components in your Range Rover, but you will still pay a premium for parts. The store will be able to sell you its brand of oil at a higher price than if you bought it directly from the manufacturer or through another distributor like AutoZone or Walmart.4. The Range Rover has a warranty that covers the oil and related parts in case of defects. In some cases, this extends to the transmission fluid. You will not have to pay for replacements if you fail to follow maintenance schedules or if you get your vehicle serviced at a dealership.5. The oil used in the Range Rover is among the most expensive in the automotive industry. Dealer-installed synthetic oil is around $30 more expensive than standard petroleum-based oils that are sold at big-box retailers like Walmart and AutoZone.6. It would be a waste for them to use anything less than what the manufacturer specifies when it comes time to do an oil change.7. The manufacturer also specifies that you have to have a factory filter installed in your vehicle when you get an oil change done at a dealership or other service center. Dealers may charge you for the use of a filter that is not their brand.8. Without using proper oil and a factory or high-quality aftermarket filter, your vehicle runs the risk of damaging its engine. This can lead to expensive repairs or even the need for a new engine.9. The Range Rover is a front-engine, front-wheel-drive vehicle that uses an automatic transmission. The vehicle has a small engine, but the power is put to the road through wheels rather than being converted into waterpower or other uses.10. The Range Rover has an oil change schedule of 7,500 miles or once every seven months and a filter that needs to be replaced every 15,000 miles. Oil Cost Too Much!!! | Land Rover and Range Rover Forums

Oil Cost Too Much!!! #3 Even my LR dealer doesn’t charge that much for a full-service oil change, it maxes out around $60-something. (My new LR has the premium member maintenance – all service included for the first 4 years) #8 It also protects rocks from flying inside engine compartment while offroading or simply getting on gravel. I have same “skid” altough metal one on me XTerra (got to take it off to replace oil too). Unfortunate drawback is whatever gets in – stays in. I had numerous rocks falling off from when skid getting removed for oil change But 150$ is nuts. If you cant do it yourself – go to Walmart they will replace it for 25$ With your choice of oil. Altough you better check out for all nuts been in place and oil caps actually being back in afterwards (and no – i am not kidding – its exactly what it sounds like).
