Welcome to our public service website dedicated to helping ornamental gardeners in the dry climate and environment of the Central Texas area learn more about all aspects of ornamental horticulture in this region, and acquire useful and accurate information on a wide variety of suitable ornamental plants as well as other horticultural topics.

Part of the enjoyment of creating a beautiful garden is to photograph it.  Just think of the compositions you can create through gardening by combining texture, color, form and other garden features. Our Home Page picture will change regularly so that we might share with you some of the beauty we see in our garden at different times of the year.

OUR GARDEN PICTURETHE WEEK

Ah, it's spring and our completely xeriphytic back yard, constructed a year ago, is bursting with bloom and color in northwest Austin, TX on April 20th. A daily stroll thought the garden reveals new surprises every time. We enjoy the variety of wildlife that visit.

People garden in order to make something grow; to interact with nature; to share, to find sanctuary, to heal, to honor the earth, to leave a mark.  Through gardening, we feel whole as we create our personal work of art upon our land – BUT nothing compares to what the Creator has already given us in nature.
